DRAMA + STORYTELLING
About this class
The Apprentices (Ages 8–12)
The call to adventure has been answered.
From whatever level they join us, beginner to advanced and everyone in between, Apprentices will learn to go deeper. In this training ground for young performers, students learn the building blocks of theater and storytelling. They explore character development, physicality, vocal technique, and the basics of script work — all through hands-on, ensemble-based activities.
Through improvisation, scene work and short performance projects, Apprentices begin to understand what it means to embody a story and work as a team to bring it to life.
They are: learners, listeners, builders and rising voices in the story realm.
Ms Ashley (professionally known as Winter Williams) will be guiding this class. Williams graduated from The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC with an advanced Associates degree along with being awarded the Charles Jehlenger award for excellence in acting and the Tracy Spencer Scholarship to join their repertory Company upon graduation. She is known for her award winning, breakout starring roles in cult horror film The Human Centipede, psychological thriller Julia and crime drama Albanian Gangster.
