DRAMA + STORYTELLING - KIDS AGES 4-7

Students learn basic acting skills such as: building ensemble; developing sensory awareness; stage movement; vocal projection; improvisation and creating characters.

This drama class provides a safe environment for children to engage their imagination in a theatrical environment.

Moving makes us happy! This class will also help students build spatial awareness and physical control through movement-based storytelling with a focus on joy and calm.

With the storytelling portion of the class it will come largely from improvisation and "the mystery circle" time, sharing from their own imaginations and hopefully their own experience.  Each child will have the opportunity to share and participate within this hour.

At the end of this 8 week session, there will be a performance of a story which the children have collaborated on and created as team. We encourage parents to help their child make their own costume. This will add to the creative theme of using our own resources and imaginations without having to go out and buy anything!
