ONE-DAY SCREENWRITING INTENSIVE

 

FOR ADULTS 18+​

A full-day deep dive into story, structure, and voice.

​

This intensive is designed for writers who already have a story they want to tell - whether it’s an idea, a work in progress, or a first draft.

​

Over eight focused hours, participants will work closely with filmmaker and writer Matthew A. Brown to develop a clear blueprint for their screenplay. Through guided writing exercises, curated film clips, group discussion, and dedicated writing time, each participant will leave with a deeper understanding of their narrative and a concrete path forward.

SCHEDULE

​

  • Time: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM - 8 hours, with breaks

  • Cost: $195 

  • Limited Enrollment: min 6 participants,  Max 12

  • Lunch provided. Coffee, tea, and light nourishment available throughout the day.

Led by working filmmaker and writer Matthew A. Brown, these intensives offer a rare opportunity to engage deeply with story through real-world experience, focused mentorship, and constructive feedback in an intimate studio setting.​​

​

The workshop takes place at In The Pines Studio, a quiet, rural creative space just outside of town. The studio is designed to feel warm, calm, and inviting. The surrounding landscape offers a sense of retreat from daily noise, allowing writers to settle fully into the creative process. 

​

This is an intimate, hands-on workshop with an emphasis on individual attention and feedback.

REGISTRATION & POLICIES

  • Registration is confirmed upon payment.

  • Due to limited space, we are unable to hold spots without payment.

  • Registration closes 7 days prior to the start date. Sessions will be confirmed at that time.

  • Payments are non-refundable unless our minimum enrollment is not met.

  • If you are unable to attend, your spot may be transferred to another participant with advance notice.

  • In some cases, cancellations made at least 7 days prior may be credited toward a future intensive (subject to availability).

  • In the event that minimum enrollment is not met, participants will be notified and issued a full refund or credit.

  • Participation requires respectful engagement with instructors and fellow participants.
